After years of working alongside professional athletes and media stars, James gained invaluable insight into the high-performance world, learning what it takes to optimize the body for peak results and performance. In 2003 James established The Athlete Centre, an innovative Strength and Conditioning facility in Oxford.
Turning 40 - James realised that there's more to training than just achieving physical goals or maintaining an aesthetic. It became clear that the way we approach fitness needs to evolve, particularly as we age.
Thus Future Proof was born

Kate Whitehouse - Medical
Dr. Kate Whitehouse is a British-American, board-certified obstetrician-gynaecologist and researcher. She has a longstanding commitment to improving women's health through evidence-based care, research, and policy. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and serves as a medical journal editor. Kate is skilled at translating evidence into practice recommendations-she has contributed to clinical guideline development in the US, UK, and globally, including during her tenure at the World Health Organization. With expertise in sexual health, she has lectured at conferences worldwide, sharing insights to advance clinical practice and healthcare policy. Passionate about translating research into real-world impact, she strives to innovate and empower women at every stage of life.
Outside of work, Kate is a fitness enthusiast who can be found cycling around Oxford, tackling long-distance runs, CrossFitting, or simply chasing her 3 young boys around.

Gavin Allinson - Nutrition
Gav is a nutritionist and wellness coach based in Oxford, England, specializing in fat loss and metabolic health. He serves as the Chief Chassis Chiseler at Fast Fat Shred, where he focuses on helping former rugby players achieve significant weight loss.
In addition to his role at Fast Fat Shred, Gavin contributes to the rugby community as a coach for the Oxford University Rugby Football Club's Whippets team. He also leads youth rugby programs at Windmill Primary School and Oxford Harlequins, demonstrating a commitment to promoting health and fitness at various levels.
Educationally, Gavin holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Applied Biology from the University of Bath.

Rich Baggot La Velle - Osteopath
Richard Baggott la Velle is a qualified osteopath and movement coach based in Wantage, Oxfordshire. He earned his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University in 2009. In addition to his osteopathic qualifications, Richard holds a degree in Pharmacology from King's College London.
As the Clinical Director of Orchard House Clinic, Richard specializes in treating sports injuries and enhancing sports performance across various activities, including weightlifting, triathlon, gymnastics, and equestrian sports.
